Lorem Ipsum dummy text just got dirty.

I love a good dose of Lorem Ipsum dummy text. I love even more the generators which make Lorem Ipsum all the more interesting.

The world is currently somewhat fixated with the novels starring a certain Christian Grey. The 50 Shades trilogy seems to be famous the world over. Personally, I have no desire in reading a book which is basic erotica and sold as “mommy porn”. I’ve heard mixed reviews, but personally its not for me.

Now take the world of 50 shades, and merge it together with the world of a designer. At some point or other a designer needs the use of dummy text to fill in the grey spaces of their webpage or other design element. It is at this time that they’ll approach the usual Lorem Ipsum generator. There have been many different generators come and go, but this is the funniest one I’ve found in a while.  I’m not going to post any of the content on here…its a bit gross. But if you dare, go check out the 50 Shades Generator for a bit of a laugh (or a squirm if you’re that type), heres a bit of an excerpt about it though:

Traditionally, print and web designers had to make use of placeholder text known as Lorem Ipsum. It consists of meaningless Latin, though recently there have been great developments in the field such as Bacon Ipsum, Hipster Ipsum and Samuel L Ipsum. Now, creatives can excite clients in more ways than one with Fifty Shades of Grey-inspired filler text.

Here’s an example of some cleaner dummy text, which I actually find quite charming (in the way that dummy text can be charming).

Fillerati: takes text from classic novels. You even get to choose the author and book. Here’s an example from L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz.

“I think I could jump over it,” said the Cowardly Lion, after measuring the distance carefully in his mind.

“Then we are all right,” answered the Scarecrow, “for you can carry us all over on your back, one at a time.”

“Well, I’ll try it,” said the Lion. “Who will go first?”

“I will,” declared the Scarecrow, “for, if you found that you could not jump over the gulf, Dorothy would be killed, or the Tin Woodman badly dented on the rocks below. But if I am on your back it will not matter so much, for the fall would not hurt me at all.”

Malevole takes text from old school TV shows. It’s worth a giggle.

Top Cat! The most effectual Top Cat! Who’s intellectual close friends get to call him T.C., providing it’s with dignity. Top Cat! The indisputable leader of the gang. He’s the boss, he’s a pip, he’s the championship. He’s the most tip top, Top Cat.

Thunder, thunder, thundercats, Ho! Thundercats are on the move, Thundercats are loose. Feel the magic, hear the roar, Thundercats are loose. Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats! Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats! Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats! Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats! Thundercats!

Anyone remember these guys?
